22 Weeks

Well tomorrow marks 22 weeks of pregnancy. Kyle likes to dance to music that he hears outside of the car, since I think the car puts him to sleep. Yesterday he liked Jazz/Blues music and today he boogied to Christmas music. He has also danced to piano music as well as dance music in the house. He also really liked the bath I took today and was dancing all around! My back is starting to hurt a little more, but as long as Kyle is healthy it is all worth it:)

22 Weeks

As promised, David's Dad came over yesterday to help David paint most of the kitchen...all the green. I worked on the basement, going through and clearing things out. Then the three of us had a nice dinner, it was yummy BBQ Quesadillas. Today, David and his Mom painted the nursery and did the chalkboard paint above the cabinets! I again worked on the basement and some on the dining room. I made us Sloppy Chicken Pizza Joes with homemade oven fries...again yummy! Thank you so much for coming over and helping us! We love you both:)

Tomorrow David is going to do a bit of touching up and hopefully hang pictures. On Saturday we are going to tackle more of the basement...anyone want to come help, I cook really well! April, Ben, and the twins are coming over tomorrow around 2:30 to hang out for a bit and then April and I are going to 6pm mass at OLF while David works and Ben takes the boys to his mom's house. On Friday we are heading over to my sister-in-laws, Meredith, for Christmas day and dinner. Around 6 that night, my dad will come over to hang out and exchange gifts.

Yesterday Bandit turned 5, and we got him a new bed for out in the family room. As soon as we put it down, he sniffed it and curled right up into it. It was soo adorable! All night while out watching tv he was snuggled deeply in his bed:)

I will make another post over the weekend. Merry Christmas to all! Enjoy your time with your families:)
Kyle is starting to pop out.
But at least I am all baby...according to the OB as well.
Kyle's closet.
One of his walls.
The far corner. The walls are all the same color, but the lighting makes them look different. The second pic is closest...it looks really good in person and will look great with the nursery set!
The windows in the kitchen. It is an olivey green/brown. The black is chalkboard paint and we will put Irish proverbs and Italian sayings on it, as well as our family member names. This will honor both our heritages!
The new appliances look great!
The laundry room hallway :)
Just need to bring back in all the cooking stuff like toaster oven and knives, etc, and straighten up:)

OB visit

Well, after an hour plus drive to get to the OB, I have good news to report. Whose bright idea was it to put a hospital right next to a mall anyway?!?!?! Things look good, and Kyle's heart rate is great! Keep your thoughts good for us! I reach 22 weeks on Thursday:) I am so glad things keep going so well. I did find out they want me to go for another super Ultrasound at 32 weeks because of my thyroid...but that also means more pictures of Kyle:) So the week of March 1st I will be off to get all pictured up again!

I did manage to run a few errands this morning and then had a productive day around the house. We cleaned out the final closet. With no school again tomorrow :( I guess I will start doing more work around the house while David and his dad paint the kitchen! I really hope we can get in Wednesday. We can't use all our snow days already! Plus I have a little party planned for the kids. GRRRRR I hate snow!

Bandit turns 5 tomorrow, and I can't believe it. It seems like just yesterday we were bringing home a little puff ball. Happy Birthday Bandit, we love you! Well, not much else to report. We will post our 22 week picture and post on Wednesday, stay tuned!

Snow days

Our Eskimo wedding cake on the back deck.
There is about 20 inches to this cake.

Finally the snow stopped! It was a record snow for the month of December in this area. Here in Severna Park we got somewhere between 21-24 inches. David got his side of the driveway done and my side is still left to do. Bandit had more fun playing outside with daddy as he shoveled. As you can see above, he became a white lab instead of a yellow lab...he is soo cute:) All the presents are wrapped and under the tree waiting for Friday. I still have to get my dad's gift, so there is one more to come. Bandit found his and Bailey's gifts and was trying to open them. He dug them out from under the tree. They are not even food, and he did not touch the other ones, but he sniffed out his toys lol. He came out with tinsel all over his back! David made it to work, and will hopefully make some money to off set our holiday expenses. Only time will tell. My school work is done, so now I just get to rest! Here's to hoping we get out soon, I am starting to get stir crazy!

Snow

As you can see, we did not make it to Easton to decorate the tree. When we woke up this morning, there was about 6-8 inches, and that was around 8ish. As of now we are prolly at a foot or so and it is still going strong. David and I took Bandit out for a romp in the snow. HE LOVES IT! His father enjoyed it too, but I on the other hand...not so much! Once the walk was over, David shoveled the sidewalks and Bandit sat crying at the windows cause he was not out there as well. I made us peppermint hot coco once David came in. In a few hours, David will redress to shovel the driveway. We also have a fire going which is nice in this chilly weather. They are now calling for somewhere in the 2+ feet range....blah! Now the day will consist of wrapping gifts, and working around the house.

The house in the snow...looks pretty but sooooo cold!
Bandit and David playing.
Bandit with his nose all covered :)
Scampering around.
Looking for more snow to eat and throw around.
More running around.
Bandit catching snow in his mouth. He looks so cute! ;)
Tomorrow, David has to work at 10, so he will at least be venturing out. I on the other hand will keep to the indoors. I have a little school work to do. Hopefully we will get into school on Monday, though a half day would be nice :)

21 Weeks

21 Weeks PregnantSo lucky 21 has arrived. Tomorrow meets 21 weeks. Kyle is starting to move more and more. This week at school has been moving along better and that is definitely a good thing. The kids at are becoming more and more excited in anticipation of Santa as the each day goes by.

21 Weeks

David has finally finished fixing the ceiling in the nursery and will hopefully have the ceiling repainted by Monday. He has been working on priming the kitchen the past two days. He will finish tomorrow...hopefully;) Then he can move onto finishing priming the hall beams and nursery. It sucks that he has to do it all by himself but he is doing a great job! As it stands now, David's dad is coming to help paint on Tuesday and his mom on Wednesday. The extra hands helping will surely be nice.

I am hoping to have all the presents wrapped by Friday night so that we will have something under our tree at least for a little bit. Saturday we are going to Easton to decorate the Christmas tree and spend the day with the family.

Bandit has been super stressed with all the activity going on so we are doing our best to spend a lot of snuggle time with him. We hope he gets a little more used to all the activity since this will be going on for a while.

I went to the allergist for my follow up on my asthma flare up earlier in the year. Things are looking better, but I have to stay on the higher doses of the inhaler. David received his H1N1 vaccine yesterday, so we are all covered for both flues. Lets just hope that we continue to stay healthy. My pregnancy rhinitis has improved slightly but still have some problems breathing. The allergist said there is not much you can do...oh well at least it is not as bad as it was over the weekend. I return to the OB on Monday! Can't wait to hear his heart beat again:)

The Weekend

Well, the long school week is over. On Friday I came home with a stuffy nose and watery eyes. I still have the stuffy nose but the eyes seem to be getting better. It seems I have something called Pregnancy Rhinitis. It is basically allergies...blah! Saturday was a productive day. We decorated the tree and cleaned out/organized the hall linen closet. After we did all that, we watched some of the Army/Navy game...YAY NAVY WON!!! Then we headed over to Reed and Mary's for dinner and hangin out. Today is going to be filled with laundry and relaxation in hopes my nose gets better. David works at 2 so we will have a little bit of time together before he heads out. I am hoping that this week goes by quickly. At least once we hit Friday, there will only be 3 days left before a break!

David also started fixing the ceiling in the nursery on Thursday and Friday, so hopefully that will be ready to paint so that that room can get done! I am really looking forward to finally getting the house together and straightened out. Hopefully we will have some updated home pics to share soon:)

The tree all decorated. It is our first realy tree together...ever!
The tree all lite up...yes the top of the trunk is crooked lol.

Now you can see the lights, but its a little blurry...but you get the idea.

20 Weeks

20 Weeks Pregnant
Well, we have finally hit the half way mark! I am 20 Weeks as of tomorrow :) Baby Kyle seems to be growing nicely, and I just hope it continues! Yesterday we went and got our Christmas Tree, and it is in the stand as of tonight. We are going to decorate the tree on Saturday morning, along with straightening out the hall closet. My closet is all done and I can move my clothes back in there tomorrow. David has also primed most of the beams in our entrance. Once he has that all primed he can paint! It is going to be blue like our living room. Then onto the kitchen:) I am hoping that the kitchen will be done by the start of the new year, if not earlier;) We also ran out to get Kyle's bouncy seat tonight. A few days ago I received an email from Babies-R-Us saying that they were discontinuing the seat and if we wanted it, we should get it now. It was definitely our favorite so we went ahead and bought it. We also got a memory book from my school friend Iris to place all the special firsts for Kyle...THANK YOU!!!! Tomorrow David is planning on sanding more in the kitchen and going to attempt to fix part of the ceiling in the nursery that needs some TLC.
The kids at school are starting to get into the holiday hype, hopefully these next two weeks will go fast and smooth. I go back to my regular OB on December 21. Bandit also turns 5 on the 22nd, so we have a busy few weeks coming up. This Saturday we are planning on going over to Reed and Mary's to celebrate baby Kyle...they will get to drink and I will get to watch (not celebrating if you ask me lol). I will keep to posted on the progress of the house!

Getting Things Done

First fire in the fireplace. Baby Kyle's room all cleaned out.

My old room rearranged.
Well, we have had a productive three days. Yesterday, David and I met at Home Depot after work to buy the paint for the kitchen and the nursery. For the kitchen, we went with a light brown with an green olive hue. For Kyle's room, we went with a light beige/tan color to compliment the greens, browns, and yellows of the jungle themed crib set we want. In a week or so, Tommy, a friend of Davids is going to come over a couple of times while he is on school break to help paint. He also helped paint the hallway and do some of the living room in the spring. He likes doing these things so we will definitely take him up on the offer!

Today, David tried to finish up some spackling and sanding in the kitchen, and my closet. He also finished wrapping one of the vents in the attic...only two more to wrap:) I went through all the maternity clothes I have received and sorted them into summer versus winter. Then I tried on the winter clothes and separated them into the ones that sorta fit now (pants) or that will fit soon, and put those in a dresser. Then the ones that I will save for much later in the pregnancy were put away in a rubber maid to wait, along with all the summer clothes. We also cleaned out the nursery. There were a lot of my grandmother's things still in the closet, plus random stuff that we just had to go through. That being said, the nursery is ready to be painted and then set up with the things we get for Kyle. Items already in the nursery...end table to hold the crib side lamp, dresser that will double for a changing table, rocker, and foot stool. Not much to speak of, but it is a start!

It seems fitting that with the first snow fall of the year, David and I are almost done our Christmas shopping. We did most of it on Thursday. In addition to the shopping on Thursday, our new chimney cap was put on. So in the wet snow, David has built our first fire:) He did a great job! All in all it has been some productive days. Now time to get to painting and really start setting up the room:)

19 Weeks

Well, the news is in...presenting Kyle David Winters! Below is a couple of pictures from the ultrasound this morning. The doctors all said that everything looks good, so fingers crossed that Kyle arrives healthy in April. Tomorrow marks 19 weeks.

So here is our son:)

Thanksgiving

18 Weeks PregnantLiesel running around screaming NAKED BABY!!!David and his cousin Fionn.Karen, Meredith, Baby Michael, and Nancy.Liesel and I.Gillian and Fionn sleeping.
We went to Easton for the family Thanksgiving 2009. On Wednesday we had soup night at Aunt Marilyn's house. Meredith and Karl made some yummy soups. Gillian was also down from Baltimore with baby Michael and baby Fionn. Billy and Nancy, David's cousins joined us as well.
On Thursday, we had dinner at the Castle on the Creek (the In-Laws :} ). For the most part, the same crew was there except Meredith and Karl went to Karl's parents for dinner this year. Liesel decided she was going to be an exhibitionist and ran around naked from time to time. It was quite cute since she is only 2.
We also went and did our registry at Babies'R'Us on Saturday. It was a lot of fun, but very tiring as well! Peanut is excited to get all new things! We also took an 18 week pic!
Tomorrow we go to the OB for the big ultrasound. We will keep you all posted as to how our little peanut is doing. We may even have a name for you:)
