Busy Day

Our day started out bright and early with our living alarm clock (Bandit) waking us up to be fed at 7am. At 7:30 the actual alarm went off , we were up and going to get ready for our busy day. Around 8:35 we left the house to bring some hand me down clothes to Meredith for baby Max. From there we headed to the High Risk OB. They said everything looks great and that he is about 5 pounds 13 oz. They also commented that they would not be the least bit surprised if I went earlier rather than later since Kyle is just running out of space lol. His heart rate was great and he was active:) I just hope to make it through the end of next week so I can get my kids settled back in after spring break. Time will tell.

From there we went to Babies-R-Us to get a few small items. Then we ran to Carters to return some clothes, and get a few toys. After that came Bed Bath and Beyond to get Kyle's window shade and valance rod. Sears came next with a return, and David needed to get some new wind pants. We finally went and got some lunch at Famous Dave's and then headed home.

Once we got home, we changed into some lighter clothes and took Bandit on a walk that was over an hour and about a 1.5 miles long. It felt great for everyone. Now that the warmer weather really starts to be rolling in, I hope it stays!

I have some school work to do tonight, and tomorrow I am treating myself to a pedicure for the first time since last summer. We then hope to get another nice walk in with Bandit before David is off to work. On Saturday we are moving the remaining items of Dads over to his place. We will then rearrange the basement some and set up some pictures. We hit 36 weeks tomorrow, so some pictures will follow :)

Spring Break

So far this weekend and the first day of spring break have been very productive. We have gone through all of the clothes we received for Kyle, washed them, and put them away in their respective places based on age. We have put up all but a few last minute decorations up in his room as well. Today we went to Babies-R-Us and got a lot of the final things we needed for baby Kyle's arrival. Tomorrow we meet with the pediatrician, and we will finally get that hospital bag packed. On Wednesday we head to High Risk OB at 9:30 for a check up, then have multiple errands to run in Annapolis. That is going to be another long but productive day.

As I enter my 5th week of my class, I am down to having only 3 big papers to write, and 2 small papers. By the end of the week, I will be down to 2 big papers and 1 small paper. I have definitely been successful in getting ahead of my work!

As we near Kyle's arrival, I get more excited everyday. I just want him here healthy, safe, and sound so that we can love on him and hold him. Bandit is very interested in all his things as well, and we are excited to have Bandit meet his little brother.

After our OB appointment, I will update everyone with how Kyle and mommy are doing. Thursday we hit 4 weeks left!

35 Weeks

Thursday marked 35 weeks, and as David put it "The point of no delay." I am now officially at the mark will they will not try to stop labor should I go into it. That is very exciting, but we still have a few things to do before he comes.

35 Weeks pregnant

Today we are going to finish decorating his room, and go through some clothes that I got from someone at work. We are also going to pack as much of the hospital bag as possible. On Monday we plan on going to Babies-R-Us to get the last of the must have items off of the registry. David and I have both informed work that we are now on-call so it could be any day now. I truly would love to make it till April 9th so that I can get my kids settled back into routines after spring break before leaving them with the sub. However, if I can stay through the 16th, I can get report cards done. My teammate Stacy thinks I will have him over that weekend...any other guesses?

On Thursday, my school threw me a surprise shower, and we got so many wonderful gifts. Kyle is truly blessed.

Tuesday we meet with his pediatrician, so that will be nice to finally have the one whom will care for our little bundle all under wraps. Wednesday we head to High Risk for another check up and pictures!!!!

I plan on using a lot of this week off of school for spring break to finalize things for Kyle's arrival, and to really get ahead in my classwork. I have completed 4 weeks of the 8 week class. However, I have completed 5.5 weeks of work and intend on getting that number closer to 6.5 or 7 weeks of work completed before I return to school on April 6th. This will enable me to have more time to relax right before Kyle's arrival or should he come early, not be so stressed. I need to be the little engine that could...I think I can, I think I can!

Keep us all in your thoughts and prayers. We become more excited for Kyle with each passing day!

Why David took this picture is beyond me...it is AWFUL!!! 35 Weeks.
I think he maybe more watermelon than basketball now...Can't wait for you to arrive Kyle:)

Check Up

Today Kyle and I had another check up. He is doing well and his heart rate is steady! I was told if I go into labor any day after Thursday (35 weeks) that they will not try to stop me. I hope to make it another 2 and a half weeks before that happens. Next Wednesday is our appointment with High Risk again. We also meet with the pediatrician next Tuesday. I go back to the regular OB on April 6th, and then start going every week. David and I plan on decorating Kyle's room more this week, which will be fun:) We are ready for him when he is and are so excited to bring him into our lives.

There are only four more days till spring break, so I will get to use that time to really prepare for Kyle and get ahead in my masters class. On Thursday, my students also have their play, so I will be attending that in the evening. Hopefully the weather clears up so that we can get the kids back outside for recess.

On Saturday we are dropping some things off at Mary and Reed's house and getting their infant carrier. We will then come back home and work more on going through more clothes that have been given to us. Everyone has been so generous! Stay tuned for our 35 week photos:)

34 Weeks

Well, we have arrived at another mile stone. Thursday marked 34 weeks. I go back to the regular OB on Monday for a check up. Everyone at school and others tell me how little I am for 34 weeks. When I look at myself I don't feel that way. I guess that is because all the weight is Kyle. What is true though is that Kyle is healthy and growing well! As long as he is in good shape, that is all that matters:) When Kyle moves around a lot you can see my whole tummy move, it is quite funny. I have still been having stronger contractions and the back labor. I will talk to the doctor about that on Monday. The breathing still has not gotten any better, and I think Kyle has finally dropped. More will be updated after the appointment.

34 Weeks pregnant

Yesterday afternoon my second grade class, their parents, Dorrie, and Stacy threw me a surprise shower at school. The kids were so excited and kept such a good secret! We got wonderful gifts for Kyle and it was such a wonderful way to end the week!

The weather this week has finally turned into spring like weather. The mornings are still chilly, but the afternoons have been beautiful. I hope that it continues this way and we are done with the cold weather. It has been great to have the windows open and not seeing my breath whenever I go outside. And the snow is ALL GONE!!!

Today has been filled thus far with picking pictures for Kyle's baby book:) and paying some bills...fun:( However, only two more payments till we own David's car! My dad is coming over today to do taxes with us, and we may try and decorate Kyle's room more. This evening Jason and Shelly are coming over to have dinner, hang out, and see all our updates.

I am looking forward to the day Kyle arrives healthy and safe. Please continue to keep us in your thoughts:)

Our basketball continues to get more round each day. 34 Weeks

33 Weeks

Well, I am a little behind in my postings. Last Thursday March 11, 2010 we hit 33 weeks. Kyle is trying to make more room everyday. I love when he moves and we are just ready for his heathy arrival in a few weeks.

33 Weeks

This weekend we had David's families annual St. Patty's Day Party. We had a great time even though I was extrememly tired. Everyone was very excited for Kyle's arrival in the next few weeks. On Sunday we did Meredith's birthday celebration. It was a fun and busy weekend and I am paying for the lack of sleep now.

The past three nights I have been having some back labor pains. In addition to more major contractions through the days. They do not seem to be too bad, but if they continue I will end up calling the doctor and seeing if I need to go to the hospital to be checked. I am hoping that that does not happen. We do go back to the OB on Monday March 22, 2009, so hopefully I can get to that point and let them make a decision then. The rule of thumb is 34 weeks is a very safe point. I would love to be able to make it through the first week of April since I would then be 37 weeks. However, I am striving for the end of March. Please keep us in your thoughts and prayers for a heathly little Kyle.

33 Weeks pregnant. There he is...

More Preggo Pics

Today has been a very productive day so far. We went to Babies R Us to get some of the bigger items off of the registry. We were able to get Kyle's other car seat, his high chair, play mat, humidifier, the baby gate for the top of the stairs, one of his closet organizers, and a few bottles. Most of the items were either on sale or we had coupons for them. We had a few returns from duplicate items and some gift cards, so that helped in the money aspect. We also made a trip to BJ's for a few odds and ends and were able to finally get David a watch that he likes. After that we met up with April, Ben, and the Twins in Annapolis for lunch and they surprised us by getting Kyle's swing! THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!!!! Lunch was a great time and the boys are getting so big and independent. I miss having them live near by. David is setting up the high chair and then we are going to go and organize more of the clothes in Kyle's room. This has been a busy, but exciting and fun filled day :)

There he grows at 32 weeks. My little baby basketball is getting bigger and bigger.

32 Weeks

Well here we are again, and another week has gone by. On Monday I went to the OB for a routine check up and the heart rate was great. I was told he was head down and I am hoping he stays that way.

I also started my second Masters Class and week 1 of 8 is in full swing. Of course there is more work in the first 5-6 weeks of the class than the last two, so I am super busy again. Though that is good, because it will make my last few weeks of pregnancy go a little smoother. I plan on using our week long spring break to get ahead in my work so that if Kyle does come a little early (here's hoping for that), then I am all set for class. I will be taking about 5ish months off after this class to spend time with our new little bundle.

On Wednesday we finally got to go on our music field trip for school. We went to see Beauty and the Beast. It was a wonderful show and the children were so well behaved!

This morning we hit 32 weeks. We also had another appointment with the High Risk OB. We were able to see Kyle moving, hear his heart beat, and get some wonderful 3D pictures of his face. He is in fact head down with his bum and feet trying to push the right side of my rib cage out of the way so that he can have more space...silly Kyle. We were informed that he is about 4 pounds 5 ounces. Sounds like he is going to be an 8 pounder like his father. I am having more trouble breathing everyday since there is so little room and my asthma. They also want to keep an eye on my thyroid so the High Risk docs want to see me again in 4 weeks. We go to them on the 31st. More pictures! As it stands now we have regular OB on the 22nd, regular OB on the 29th, our meeting with the pediatrician on the 30th, and High Risk OB on the 31st. The 29th we will also get photos from the regular OB! Yay for pictures:) We were also told and saw just how active little Kyle is. Sounds like we may have our hands full in the future, but we can't wait!

32 Weeks pregnant.

Saturday we are planning on going to BabiesRUs to get more supplies for Kyle and start organizing hims room more. I have done two loads on laundry that include new blankets and clothes for Kyle this evening. We will also take some 32 week photos to post, so stay tuned.

All in all it has been a great week and the weather is starting to get better. In fact we should be in the low 50's this weekend. Here's to a fast moving and wonderful March!

Baby Shower

Last Saturday February 27, 2010 I posted that I was going to lunch with Kelly. I had eagerly been anticipating my baby shower, which I thought was going to be on March 6th. However, when Kelly and I returned from lunch, I walked into a house full of friends and family! It was such a pleasant surprise. We were able to have snacks and some deliciously made cake and cookies. We played a few games and opened gifts. A wonderful time was had by all. April and David wanted to make it a surprise for a couple of reasons...1) cause April just liked the idea and 2) cause I had surprised David with a birthday party our first year dating. Well, they got me :) Sarah, Melissa, and Kelly all hand their hands in the day as well and I could not be more grateful for a wonderful group of friends. Thank you all for coming and enjoy a small selection of pictures below.

Decorations made by April for the surprise shower...I love how Zak wants to be in the picture:) The most beautiful cake made by Melissa...she is wonderful at this!

She even made cookies and everything was SOOO YUMMY!
