27 Weeks Pregnant

Well, another week has gone by :) 27 weeks arrived yesterday, and we are getting more and more excited for Kyle's arrival. On Tuesday, we started our birthing classes, and as to date nothing to graphic yet...well one of the videos would not work so we will probably get the graphics next week. Three more classes to go. I am starting to bump out now in my clothes, but everyone at work likes to tell me that I look more like I am 5 months pregnant than almost 7. Well, that's how it works when you still eat healthy! I am excited about entering the third trimester in the next week or so because it truly means we are on the home stretch.

27 Weeks pregnant

David came down with a head cold yesterday, so it is nice that he is home tonight to relax and rest by the fire.

Tomorrow evening we will head out to Mark and Melissa's for Mark's 30th birthday shindig, pending how David feels. We will not be joining them for the full out party at the bars, but the pre-party will be just as fun.

Classwork continues to roll along, it just takes a lot out of me with working as well.

I am starting to have more trouble breathing, especially at night, as well as getting comfortable to sleep because my knees just suck anyway. On a good note, Kyle likes to "dance" a lot now and it makes me smile every time:)

I hope to be better again about posting more often, especially as we get closer to his arrival.

26 Weeks

Well, I was a slacker this week and am just now getting around to posting again. We had off on Monday and David and I ran some errands and took Bandit on a nice long mile or so walk. It took a little longer than it used to but it was a beautiful day for it. David worked that night as I did some classwork, as usual. We returned to school on Tuesday, but the nice thing was that we had 2 hour early dismissals all week because of the end of the semester. This helped make the days go very fast. On Tuesday evening David met me at Sears to buy our new chest freezer. The one we have been using is my dads and he needs it back.

Wednesday was the OB appointment, and they said everything was looking good. I am measuring right on if not a little big, but am all Kyle. After the appointment we went looking for some new gloves for David...did not find any, and some new low heeled dress shoes for me...that one was a success. After that it was onto Cheesecake Factory for dinner. It was very yummy!

Thursday and Friday came and went with not much to report. School and classwork for me, and working on the house and work for David.

Finally, we have reached Saturday. I have already made some cookies for our dinner at the Byrd's house tonight along with the Adkins and Bruns. We also did our 26 week pic. On a side not, I did a weight check. I started this whole pregnancy around 109 pounds. I then dropped to 104 because of being so sick. I am now 117 as of this AM. That means I have gained 13 pounds in the process, 8 of which will need to be lost after Kyle is born. The doctors say I am doing great. I have 14 more weeks to go and to stay at my 25-30 pound range, can gain another 12-17. Not bad:) And if you look at it as a what needs to be lost, it is even better:)

2 Weeks Down

Well, here we are two weeks down into January. Things are still very busy around the house with lots of wallpaper to still be removed. I am still chugging along with my class, and just counting down the days till Baby Kyle's arrival :) Tomorrow David and I hit 6 years together :) and our hope is to go out to Cheesecake Factory on Wednesday night after our OB appointment to celebrate. The original plan had been to go yesterday, but we were in Easton all day helping to install some fans. David had to work today, as usual, and I spent then entire day doing classwork. Lots to do, but I am also trying to get somewhat ahead. If anyone whats to help out and loves writing papers, let me know...lol!

On Tuesday January 26th we start our birthing classes. Needless to say they should be informative and interesting, if not just more reassurance that Kyle is on his way;) We have off from school tomorrow in honor of MLK Jr, the day will be spent running some errands, relaxing some with David and Bandit, and then of course more classwork. The week ahead is a little simpler because it is the end of the quarter/semester and we have two hour early dismissals Tuesday-Friday. This should make the week fly by, at least that is my hope!

25 Weeks

Week 25 is here and that means only 15 more weeks to go! As Baby Kyle moves more each day, it gets me more and more excited and ready for his arrival. COME ON APRIL! (Plus that brings the warmer weather ;) )

25 Weeks Pregnant

This evening when I got home, David and I put the chalkboard paint to good use. I wrote different Italian and Irish sayings that we both liked. I am looking forward to this weekend, having an extra day off in honor of MLK Jr. We plan on moving all our photos from our computer onto our external hard drive that we received for Christmas. That will help us free up a lot of space on here. Also, we are going to go out to dinner just the two of us to Cheesecake Factory...a tradition we do every January around the 18th to honor our first date...its been a wonderful 6 years :)

David did more work on getting wallpaper down in the foyer today, but there's still tons to do...blah! Below are some photos of our newly decorated kitchen and Baby Kyle trying to "pop" out...Enjoy!

Winter Continues :(

Well, the winter weather seems to not want to stop. We had snow again on Thursday night, but only about 1-2 inches in the Severna Park/Annapolis area. The plus side was that we had a 2 hour delay and not a closing...thank goodness! The delay still allowed us to have a "regular" school day and not use the last of our snow days, but have a shortened Friday!

Yesterday, David had his yearly work meeting, and while he was there, I went to visit Kelly with Bandit. We hung out and had some girl time which is always nice. After his meeting, David and I made the trip over to Easton to spend sometime with the in-laws. We got there about 2:20 and were able to watch most of the Duke Basketball game...needless to say it did not end well. Sorry Karen and David! Bandit and Bailey had a wonderful time playing together...it is so nice that they can get a lot of their energy out together.

After basketball, we all hung out by the cozy fire that David built talking about school and baby Kyle. We also watched the Jets beat the Bengals in the first round of the rematch playoffs that we seem to have this weekend. We enjoyed a yummy dinner and watching the Cowboys spank the Eagles as well! YAY 'BOYS! Of course I fell asleep around halftime, but David enjoyed watching the rest of the game with his parents, whom are also Cowboys fans. Around 11:30 we packed up to head home in the bitter cold.

Today marks one week into my class with only 7 more weeks to go before my 2nd class starts. As long as I continue to work hard and stay focused, I should make it through just fine! Wish me luck:) Anyway, as I sit here the temperature outside is a toasty 29 degrees. Spring cannot seem to get here fast enough! The first week of January went along nicely, so I am hoping that the rest of January does as well!

Well, more classwork calls and then I will take some time to recover from our busy day yesterday. Here's to a quick 2nd week!

24 Weeks

So the 24th week is upon us. Only 16 weeks to go :) My next appointment at the doctors is January 20th...I can't wait! As you can see in this picture he is all in the front and very low...all Kyle though which is nice! Yesterday I told my students about the baby and they are all so excited! It was very cute how they all cheered. This week has gone by smoothly and fast...always nice. David and I also used some of the gift cards I got from my students to go get a printer from staples and a shop vac from home depot. Then we had a book to return at Borders and got a baby food cookbook. We only spent 8 dollars on everything thanks to all the gift cards!

David has primed the beams and posts in our hallway and will paint them tomorrow. I started my masters class on Monday and so far things are going well. I just hope that it continues this way! Kyle is becoming more and more active which I love. This weekend we are making a trip to Easton on Saturday to hang out with the family for the day. We are very busy here on the home front with continuing home improvements and my class and working. I am ready for spring and to get rid of this cold weather! Hope everyone is having a great 2010.

Vacation Blues

Well, needless to say my last day of vacation has arrived. I got a lot more done in the cleaning and organizing department then I ever expected to due to the extra 3 days off cause of snow. New Years day arrived with de-decorating the tree and putting all the Christmas stuff away till next year, then there was more work on the basement. Around 3:30 my dad came over to watch the Buckeyes play in the Rose Bowl. David got word that he did not have to work, so it was a family night at home. I made dinner for all, and we played dominoes while the game was on. The best news yet...they won! Ohio State is the 2010 Rose Bowl Champs after being bashed by sports casters and told they could not do it! What a sweet victory. Now if only next year could be so promising:)

Yesterday we finished the basement! Another sweet victory. We had one last pile that we took to Salvation Army and David has some old electronics to take to the recycling center tomorrow. Then there is just a neat pile of my dad's things in one corner. Then we can rearrange to our liking and put up pictures. We are not painting that room yet. It, along with the bathroom down there, will be the last two rooms done since they are not the main living area. Before the room becomes Kyle's play room...so before he is 2, they will need to be finished. But for now we need to finish the entry hallway, living room, dining room, the two bathrooms upstairs, our room/sitting room, and my old room. It sounds like a lot but we have accomplished so much recently considering that I can't do as much of the work as I was able to this summer, and considering that we still had lots to go through and unpack and just clean out. David and I enjoyed our last evening of vacation together with a nice dinner at home and a fire. I am going to miss being at home with him, but he will be able to get back to painting while I am at work.

Today I have to work on some stuff for my masters class and then I will just relax! It will be so nice since tomorrow I go back to the grind of school, and my class really gets into full swing. I wish I could say it was nice weather here, but the wind has the temps at single digits or so. I can't wait for winter to be over so the warm weather can help us welcome our new addition!
