15 Month Visit
Today we had Kyle's 15 month visit with the ped. He got his first Hep A shot cause they were out at his one year. Additionally, we filled in the doc on what Kyle was doing. He says that he is doing many things that 18 to 24 month olds do as far as comprehension, imitating, and following directions. His verbal is average, but signs very well! He is 32 and 1/2 inches tall which is the 75th percentile. His weight is 20 pounds and 9 ounces which is 5th percentile. When the doctor measured his body fat on his arm, he is right smack dab in the middle of where he should be, so he is just going to be tall and skinny...nothing wrong with that! He says things look really good, and to keep working on the words. Unless there are any problems or sicknesses, he will see Kyle the end of October for his 18 month check up and shots...including the flu shot! Kyle has been loving the pool and is starting to play with others. I wish I did not have to go back til Labor Day, and that we ended at Memorial Day! That would make for a truly wonderful summer with my boys. Alas, I will enjoy what I have, and use the beautiful fall days to play with Kyle before I have to restart my own classes. I will post some new pics soon!

Few More Updates
Kyle has recently gotten good at waving hello and good bye, especially to people he knows. He understand and will give a kiss on command. Additionally, he can point out his belly, head, feet, and chest. We are working on ear, eyes, nose, etc. He can put together and pull apart Legos, and open and close some caps to bottles. He knows how to "answer" his toy cell phone and will "talk" into it when he is playing. He recognizes David's and my voices when we call and are put on speaker phone. He will also woof to Bandit when he barks. When we ask if he wants to go to the pool, he starts to get all his pool things together to go. When he is asked if he is ready for a nap, if he is, he will go get his puppy and BB to go nite nite. He also knows when to hand us his binky after he wakes up. He understands the sign for water and will go get his water to drink, as well as sit in order to put shoes on. As far as food is concerned, he loves his fruits and most veggies. He eats burgers, turkey burgers, chicken bugers, and veggie burgers. He eats all kinds of hot dogs. Chicken fingers, grilled chicken, and fish sticks. He does not seem to like french fries. He cannot have citrus yet due to his reflux. We hope the next GI appointment in September will enable him to go back to 2 formulas/milks a day, and try citrus. He does not seem to be a fan of juice or other sweets. This is not neccessarily a bad thing lol. Kyle is soooo smart! Finally, he LOVES to dance to music, just like his mommy! The best thing is, he loves to be with his family!
Time to Catch up!
Alas, time has gotten away from me yet again. I know I said I would try and be better, but I have had too much fun just being with Kyle this summer! Here are some key things about our family.
Bandit: He is 6.5 years old now, and is loving me being home. He is playing with Kyle from time to time, but misses all the alone time he used to have.
David: He is still working at Yellowfin, and getting a break from Daddy Daycare for the summer. He did have to do a night all by himself, when I was at my overnight field trip to Arlington Echo with my second graders. He is working on painting our bedroom and sitting room...hopefully that will be done soon!
Tracy: Like I said, I have been really enjoying all my time with Kyle this summer. I successfully completed my fifth Masters Class on Easter Sunday, and so far have a perfect 4.0. I have 5 more classes to go. I took 6 months off and will restart in November. I will take 3 classes, and then take a 4 month break, before finishing the final 2. I can't wait to be done! I will be teaching second grade again, but not looking forward to returning just yet.
Us: David and I celebrated our 3 year anniversary on the 18th!
Kyle: He is 15 months old now, and is the love of our lives. He runs, walks, and jumps. He is starting to stack things, eat with forks, drink from water bottles, and use straws. He says Mama, Dada, Ba for Bandit, hi, yeah, and can sign more, all done, and sometimes milk. He can follow two and sometimes three step directions. He is good at helping to clean up and in finding things. He loves to put his shoes away once we have taken them off him, and even go get a new diaper, when we ask him if he needs one. I hope that this leads to an eagarness to potty train when the time comes! He loves to explore and get into things that he should not lol. Kyle is a night owl like David, and takes a while to wake in the morning...just like his daddy. Kyle is still on prescription formula 3 times a day due to trouble gaining weight and not being allowed to have milk yet because of allergy issues. He is almost 21 pounds, and almost 31 inches tall. We will know more once we go to the doctor for his 15 month check up on the 28th. We have gotten him down to reflux meds only twice a day instead of the 4 times a day it used to be. He naps two times a day. Kyle LOVES to go to the pool and play, and is starting to slowly play with other children while there. He loves to play with the kids across the street. He wants to be a big boy...now! Kyle has 6 almost 7 teeth, and is trying to cut a few more. He is so much fun to play with and learn with. He has become my shaddow this summer...it is very cute, but can be hard to get things done when he is under foot. I will be deeply saddened to leave his side to go back to work!
Family: We returned yesterday from our vacation to Williamsburg, VA. We stayed with my aunt and uncle, and my dad was able to join us as well. While there, we went to Busch Gardens and Water Country. Kyle enjoyed both, but being that he was able to participate more at Water Country, he really loved it there! We can't wait to do more and more things with our little man as he continues to grow!
There is not much else planned for the rest of the summer. I have to return to work on August 16th :( We will continue to hangout by the pool, and spend time together. I will do better to update...look back Thursday to see how the doctors went! Enjoy the pics below :)
