31 Weeks

David being silly and taking an oh so beautiful picture. 31 Weeks pregnant.
My baby basketball:)
Thursday was 31 weeks...we have finally hit single digits! We go to the OB on Monday for my normal check up. Then on the 4th we go to the High Risk again so they can check his size since I have thyroid problems which can cause growth problems in womb. We finished our last birthing class on Tuesday and are very ready for Baby Kyle to come! We also dropped paperwork off with the pediatrician yesterday and will meet with him at the end of the month. I cannot wait for little Kyle to be here!
My first masters class ends tomorrow and things have been busy, but have gone pretty smoothly. I start my next class on Monday, but have the assignments already so I will be starting that work tomorrow.
We woke up to a puddle under the sink this morning...and of course I broke down in tears. It turns out that it is just a connector piece so we are lucky. David has had to do so much of the work and cleaning around the house since the chemicals are not good for myself or Kyle. He also had to deal with all the snow stuff himself. I have been so busy with teaching, my masters class, and being on the modified bed/sit rest; that I have felt like I can do nothing to help him. He has been wonderful and supportive and I could not ask for more!
I am heading out to lunch with Kelly today to just get out a little since I was stuck in the house so much this winter with all the bad weather. David has headed to get the piece to fix the sink, some new doorstops to repair the broken ones in the house, and some more wallpaper remover. Lord knows we still have tons of that stuff to take down.
I will post after our doctors appointment on Monday! Here's to a healthy last few weeks, and the safe arrival of Baby Kyle :)

30 Weeks

This past Thursday, we hit 30 weeks. Things still seem to be going smoothly and I hope they stay that way. We had 2 hr delays everyday due to the continued clearing of snow. It ended up being a nice transition back to work. Hopefully we will hear sooner rather than later as to how many days get waived for this snow. I still have this stupid head cold and it is causing me to not sleep to well. It is slowly clearing up, but almost two weeks with this thing is ridiculous!

30 Weeks

Today David and I put Kyle's crib together. It was very easy and it looks so good. Now we just need the rest of his stuff and Baby Kyle himself to be complete:) I am very excited that our little counter says 68 days to go!

The snow is starting to melt and we can actually see dirt/grass in a few little spots. Of course the places with 10 foot high mounds will be there till the middle of March or longer, but at least we are making some improvements. Lets just hope this 40 degree weather stays with us!

This week has been restaurant week in Annapolis and David has been very busy at work which has been great! Yellowfin has decided to continue their specials for at least another week, so go out and visit David. He is there tomorrow, Monday, Thursday, Friday and next Sunday.

As it looks right now, we are supposed to get rain this Monday and Tuesday which would be great to help clear away some of the snow. We also have our last birthing class on Tuesday. We have learned a lot and now I am just ready to use all the information. I can't believe that February is about over, but it makes me very happy since we are inching awy from winter and closer to little ones arrival.

30 Weeks pregnant.
Baby Kyle is looking for more room to grow.

Normalcy

Another day off, for another stupid reason! They said that schools were closed because the sidewalks were not cleared. Well, David had cleared some of our sidewalks and when the plows came through on Sunday they took snow from the road and dumped it on our CLEARED sidewalks. So whose fault is that? GRRRRRR! And if they wait for the sidewalks to be cleared completely, it will be March before we go back. They say we will reopen tomorrow...OH I HOPE SO!

The county has now used 10 snow days. 4 are built in. That means we are sitting on 6 extra days. They have applied to have 2 waivered from the December storm and I hope they apply for a few more from these two blizzards since they were worse, especially being back to back the way they were. We won't know anything until April though, that is when they make the final calendar. If we could get 4 days back on waivers due to State of Emergency, I will be really happy!

We will however be able to go to our birthing class tonight which will be nice. We did go through most of the clothes from Mary yesterday, and plan to do more today.

I am glad to report that we literally only got a dusting out of this storm that came yesterday, and we woke up to sunny skys that are starting to melt things away! Little by little we will get there.

Getting Out

Well, it seems that things are slowly starting to return to normal. We were able to go and hang out with Reed and Mary at their house last night. It was so good to escape the house and see people again. While we were there, Mary gave us 3 gigantic bags full of clothes that her son Connor had out grown. The sizes range from infant through 2T. We are so grateful to have received these clothes, and know that they will enable us to save a lot of money. Thank you so very much Mary! So, the agenda for tomorrow is that David and I will go through the bags and sort the items we are keeping. This is very exciting, especially since we are nearing the arrival of Baby Kyle everyday:)

Today David had to work, and it was very busy! I of course did my Sunday norm...classwork for my masters class. I am entering the 7th week of my first class, and things are continuing to go well. Hopefully they stay that way!

As it looks right now, I will be able to return to school on Tuesday:) They are calling for some snow again tomorrow, but with very little accumulation! This may cause a delay, but whatever the case, getting back in will be a relief.

I hope everyone had a great Valentines Day, and that most enjoy their day off tomorrow for Presidents Day!

29 Weeks Pregnant

Well here we are with only 11 weeks left! We were able to get to our doctors appointment yesterday which was nice. They said things are still going well and that he is between 2.5-3 pounds and 15-16 inches long. They say everything looks great, which is always nice to hear. I still have to sit/lay down most of the day, but that is not a big deal. As along as it bring s a healthy little boy in the next few weeks...we love you Baby Kyle!

29 Weeks Pregnant

On Tuesday night I came down with a little sore throat, and woke up Wednesday morning with a little cough. Yesterday it turned into a all out head cold. David had this about a week and a half ago so that is probably where this came from. No fever, and the cough is only worse cause of the asthma, so hopefully it clears soon.

Tomorrow David and I are going over to Reed and Mary's house to hang out and have some dinner. It is nice to finally be able to get out of the house again. Even Bandit is getting cabin fever.

We got another 20ish inches of snow out of Wednesday's storm. Hopefully that is the end of the white stuff! In fact David spent about an hour and a half shoveling off part of the roof that was under 4 feet of snow. This is CRAZY!

My next OB appointment is Monday March 1st. Then on the 4th I go to high risk again for another big ultrasound. I am just glad we are nearing the arrival date of our little boy!

My little Baby Kyle basketball! 29 Weeks.

Winter...UGH!

Well, here I am still at home because of all the snow. As nice as it is to have time with David and Bandit, I would rather have this time in the summer with David, Kyle, and Bandit. As I sit here and look out the windows, it looks like more bad weather is on the way. Yes, they are predicting between another 10-20 inches of snow between midday today and tomorrow. When will it end?!?! I am not a snow fan as it is, so this is just killing me. I have been able to get a lot of work done for my masters class, but enough is enough already.

David had to work on Sunday and yesterday, but made it home safe both days. As it looks, our birthing class for tonight will be cancelled. Who knows if we will even make it into school this week at all? We got around 30ish out of this weekends storm and if we get another 10+ where is it all going to go? So far this winter we have had around 70ish inches of snow...PLEASE WEATHER GODS STOP! This is extremely abnormal for this area and I hope it never happens again. Hopefully the Board of Ed will apply for more State of Emergency days, we have already applied for two, and we will be granted them all. I really do not want to be going to school in July.

I have been in the house since I got home from work Friday and if we get more snow, will not leave until we either go back to school, or our OB appointment on Thursday. Which ever comes first. I am hoping beyond hope that the snow misses us and we will be going back by tomorrow or Thursday, but that seems like wishful thinking. Here's to sunny warm weather that I am so looking forward too!

OH NO MORE SNOW!

28 weeks pregnant. Baby Kyle growing.
At least you can still see my hip bones ;)
My little bundle is getting more round.
Here we go again. On Wednesday we had about 3-4 inches of snow...school was cancelled...dumb, a 2 hr late arrival would have been perfect! Friday we had a 2 hr early dismissal because of the arrival of Blizzard 2010. There was not much out there till this morning. I let Bandit out around 9 PM last night and we only had about 3-4 new inches. There was still left overs on the ground. This morning was a different story around 7:20 AM, there were about 18+ inches outside. As of right now we have over 2 feet and it is still coming down. Our deck has about 2.5+ feet on it. Bandit of course loves to play in the snow, but will not go potty. David had help from a neighbor with a snow blower in getting the driveway clear. The talk is also that there is a bit more snow to come on Tuesday/Wednesday. If I see snow again in 15 years after this winter, it will be too soon!
I spent the week teaching sitting down, and drinking TONS of water. My students have been so good, lets just hope it continues through the rest of the pregnancy.
The good news is that I reached 28 weeks this past Thursday. I go back to the OB on the 11th, and hopefully will get good news. I have to take the gestational diabetes test that day, so I am hoping it comes back negative. I can't wait to hear the heart beat again. Kyle has been moving more, and we are just so ready for his safe and healthy arrival.
Well, David is supposed to work tomorrow, but I am hoping that they will be closed. Superbowl Sunday is never a big day anyway. As it looks now we will probably not be returning to school till the earliest Wednesday. The county has already applied for 2 days reprieve because of State of Emergency days from the December storm. More than likely they will apply for more because of this storm. Hopefully we will be granted those days and will gain somewhere between 3-5 days back and not have to tack them on to the end of the year. We will not find out if we are granted these days until the middle of April. This is also the first year that AA county was going to have a true spring break and give us a week off. I rather have to go to school the Monday-Wednesday before Easter, than make up the days in the summer. I want time home in the warm weather, you know when I can actually do something, with David, Kyle, and Bandit.

Long Night

Well, yesterday was an interesting day. It started out normal with David off to work at 10 and myself doing classwork. Around 7:30 or so David got home from work. I was laying on the ground petting Bandit. Then as I went to get up, so did Bandit and he tried to jump over me and landed on my stomach. That landed us in Labor and Delivery. Of course I was worried and still am some what about internal damage to him, but the doctors and nurses say that he should be fine. We got there and hooked up to monitors around 9:15 PM. Kyle's heart rate stayed great the whole time. That part would have let me go home around 12:15, but I was contracting. They decided to keep me there for another 2 hours to check to make sure I was not dilating. I have now been diagnosed with regular Braxton Hicks contractions that come very 5-15 min. Around 2:15 AM we were allowed to go home. Thank goodness for the 2 hour delay this morning!

I have to drink more fluids than I was already, keep an empty bladder, and sit for most of the day. I have been told that if they get worse then what I was feeling, to call and I may have to go back. Apparently I have had these for 2-3 weeks, but didn't know that is what they were. I still feel Kyle move which makes me feel good. We are trying to keep him inside for as long as possible. I am off to rest on the couch...which is where I will be spending many more hours it seems here in the next few weeks. Thanks to having a laptop I will still be able to get classwork done. Please keep us in your thoughts and prayers.
