Look At The Time

The time has just flown by. We have already had 3 weeks of school with the kids. I definitely miss my students from last year, but this years group is growing on me. It is hard to leave everyday knowing that I am missing so much of Kyle's life. He is asleep when I leave, and I only get to see him about 2.5-3 hours each night at home. I cherish our time together on the weekends. We have had a few extra days off here this past week and I have loved every minute with my boys. As the weather gets cooler, we have been able to take Kyle outside more and he loves to look around when we go on walks. He has become so active and full of life. He is curious and wants to explore everything. His newest fascination is Bandit! He loves it when Bandit licks him and when he can grab onto Bandit. It is really a cute site to see the two of them together. Kyle is grabbing everything in site and loves to play in the mirror. He rolls over all the time and is even sitting up some by himself. He is really strong and likes walking while you hold him up. His laugh lights up the room and just melts our hearts. Yesterday at school, Kelly was playing Peek-a-Boo with him and he was having the time of his life. Kyle also loves to sing The Wheels on the Bus, Head Shoulders Knees and Toes, and Snuggle Puppy. He is playing more and more with toys and stuffed animals. He learns more and more everyday and I can't wait for all the new things he will be doing in the near future. Kyle still loves his oatmeal and in about two weeks we can introduce veggies to him! I can't believe how big and grown he already is:) Yet, he is still my little bird!

Last Monday we went to the Maryland/Navy game Doyle, Meredith, and Karl...it was a good game even though the wrong team won. Nana got to watch Kyle and she loved every second of it!

On Saturday we are planning on going to the DC Zoo with April, Ben, Zak, and Ryder. As long as the weather cooperates that is. The following weekend, we head down to Williamsburg with my dad to visit my aunt. It will be our first offical vacation as a family and we are so excited! We should have plenty of wonderful photos from the weekend:)

Kelly is coming over for dinner tonight, and OSU plays Miami...should be interesting. GO BUCKS!!! We have off again on Tuesday for primary elections, so I hope to post MANY more recent pictures of our growing little boy!

Oatmeal

Well it is official, Kyle has started eating food! He was allowed to start eating cereal or oatmeal yesterday. We went with the oatmeal because it is better for acid reflux and causes less tummy troubles. We were not sure how he would do with it, but he loved it. He ate all of his first serving. In fact, today he was so excited when he saw and tasted it again, that he could not stop smiling and wanting to play. Hopefully this continues. In about a month he can start trying to eat Stage 1 veggies and fruits! It is truly amazing how quickly he is growing up!

The first time Kyle had oatmeal in his mouth. He seemed to like it and did really well eating it.

Daddy's turn to feed Kyle.

Yummy!

At this time I can't get the video of him eating to upload. If I can later on I will cause it's oh so cute!

4 Months

Nana visiting with Kyle on Wednesday!
Well, Friday Kyle hit 4 months old. It is so hard to believe how he has grown already. He is rolling from his back to his belly everyday multiple times a day. On occasion he will roll from his belly to his back. He reaches and grabs for things all over the places and is so alert to his surroundings. If you hold him under his arm pits and stand him up he will walk, and he loves to try and sit up in his own. He has not mastered that, but today he did sit up for 7 seconds! He has been having trouble sleeping this week, but we hope to get it all figured out soon! He had his second set of shots on Saturday and had his stats updated. He is 13 pounds 8 ounces which is the 25th percentile for weight. He is 25 and a half inches long which is 75th percentile for height. And his head circumference is 50th percentile at 42.5cm. I can't wait for all the other fun things Kyle learns how to do in the near future!

New Tricks!

Well today marks the last day of summer vacation...after about 17 weeks of being home with Kyle, Bandit, and David; I have to go back to work on Monday:( I know Kyle will be in great hands at Daddy Daycare, but I will miss him sooooo much!!!!

We took Kyle up to the pool again yesterday and he had a great time! We plan on trying to go again tomorrow if the weather is better than it is today. We are also going to Reed and Mary's for Reed's birthday gathering tomorrow evening. Then on Sunday, Kyle and I will have one last Mommy/Kyle day before I head back to work. Yes, I know I will have every Sunday with him, but it will not be the same.

Wednesday evening we met up with some of David's old high school friends at Rams Head in Annapolis. It was a fun evening and they all loved Kyle.

Kyle has now perfected the thumb sucking on both hands and rolling from his back to his belly. In fact, yesterday he rolled from his back to his belly, and then back onto his back again. David and I were both sitting there watching him, it was fantastic!

I really can't believe how much he has grown in almost four months. I look at his newborn pics and then at these most recent ones and I just smile:) I can't wait to see what else our little bird learns to do in the near future...I just hope I don't miss it all being at work!

Daddy and Kyle. I can't believe how big he has gotten! Kyle sitting on the couch by himself.

Twins 3rd Birthday

On Saturday Kyle, David, and myself went to the twins 3rd birthday party. We all had a blast swimming in the pool and it really makes me excited for next summer when Kyle can really play in the water! He loved being in the pool and playing with daddy:) The twins seemed to really enjoy themselves and we were glad to be a part of their special day!

Other breaking news is that Kyle held his bottle for the first time this past week...only for a few minutes, but he has done it a couple times. He also sucked his thumb for the first time as well.

Lynn has been in town and got to meet Kyle, so that was exciting!

I can't believe that I have to go back to work next Monday:( I don't want to leave Kyle, even though he will be with David. I will just really miss our time together...17 weeks of being home is a long and wonderful time:) We have planned our first family vacation for the end of September. We are going to go visit my aunt and uncle in Williamsburg. We plan on going to Colonial Williamsburg one day and Bush Gardens the other. We can't wait for Kyle to take his first trip:)

I look forward to savoring every moment this week with little bird!

Baptism

Most of last week was spent putting the house back together after having the tile put in. We also had to prepare for all our guests that were coming after Kyle's Baptism on Saturday. It was so great to get to see friends and family and we appreciate all who came out to celebrate Kyle's special day! Kyle was so well behaved during the services and slept through most of it as well. Just like I did when I Baptised:)

We are trying to plan a trip to Williamsburg to visit my aunt and uncle the end of September to go to Bush Gardens and get in a little vacation.

Today, Lynn and Piper stopped by with Lisa and Chelley to meet Kyle. Piper had a great time playing at the house and Kyle was interested in all those around him. He is started to "ask" for me by crying and reaching for me. It is so cute, but makes it even harder that I have to go back to work in less than 2 weeks.

Saturday we have the twins 3rd birthday party, and we are excited about Kyle getting to go swimming again! I will have pictures from that this weekend!

Kyle all cute in his Baptism outfit that Nana bought him...thanks Nana! Mommy and Kyle ready for the big day!

Time to Baptise Kyle:)
He was asleep so the water startled him awake, but he fell back to sleep right after it:)

A final blessing.

Anointing Kyle.
I am very proud of my little bird!
